Baca’s vision is of a world where people live in peace. A world where people are no longer forced to flee their countries for fear of persecution or because of their race, religion, nationality, political opinion or membership of a particular social group.
Baca works with male unaccompanied forced migrants (asylum seekers) between the age of 16 and 18 years of age. We receive these young men, who are often scared, with few, if any, possessions and with little or no English, into our care from Social Services within a few days of their arrival in the UK.
Baca works to:
invest hope into forced migrants by welcoming them into our country and befriending them.
provide good quality accommodation for young unaccompanied minors, investing into their futures by helping them to adapt to the culture, integrate into society and teaching them foundational life skills.
raise awareness, understanding and empathy of forced migration in a global context.
