Our Values

Baca is motivated and inspired by the Christian faith. Based on this foundation our core values are respect, relationship and restoration. Baca is not a proselytising organisation and respects people of all faiths and none.

Respect – Respect is essential to our work and we believe that all people should give respect and have the chance to be respected.

Relationships – We believe passionately in the importance of relationship and community. A sense of belonging comes from a sense of home. This sense of home starts in the actualisation of physical needs, for example, food, safety and warmth but quickly extends to belonging and the quality of relationships around you. We aim to strengthen relationships at the core of what we do. We believe that this will strengthen community and cohesion.

Restoration – We believe that our work can and will restore back dignity to the people with whom we work. We want to see these people, some of whom have experienced extremely upsetting pasts, having renewed faith in themselves and their futures. We believe that our work can give them tools to make good quality choices about their lives and provide opportunities for them to grow in both character and purpose.
