Baca are looking for a Service Director to provide leadership for the care given to the young people and the development of service delivery in line with Baca’s vision, mission and values. The Service Director is a key role within the organisations, responsible for the direct service delivery and outworking of the strategic plan, in line with the vision mission and the organisation's theory of change.  The role provides oversight of the Support, Operations and Education teams, ensuring the service is meeting the needs of the young people and is in line with local authority and funder requirements.  Furthermore the director will identify and develop new opportunities and relationships with social service placement teams for a wider impact to allow Baca to work with more young people.

Baca has had a period of sustained growth and is in a strong position, being seen as an influencer in this area of work.  Following the completion of the current Three Year Strategic Plan, the Leadership and board are currently reviewing the opportunities available going forward.  So, there is no better time to join the Organisation and make a huge contribution to its future.  For further information please refer to the attached information pack.

Residential Volunteer - Loughborough (Male)

Residential Volunteer (male) based in Loughborough

Baca is seeking a compassionate and proactive male Residential Volunteer to join our team. The successful volunteer will be a great role model for semi-independent unaccompanied asylum seeking boys aged 16 to 18.  The Residential Volunteer will seek to establish a safe, fun, caring and interdependent home with the boys in the house. They will be very approachable, supportive, keen to build relationships and be a strong team player. The successful applicant will have a personal style that is in line with Baca’s vision and values.

The role requires the individual to live in one of our properties and be a ‘big brother’ to the young people. Some of the benefits for the Residential Volunteer includes free rent, council tax, utilities and WiFi.

Our volunteers make a fantastic contribution to the work that we do and are highly valued. You will be supported in your role through an induction, training and ongoing support from our Volunteer Coordinator.

The role is appropriate for someone undertaking study or who has another job. An enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check will be required.

Residential Cover Volunteer

Voluntary

All Baca properties have Residential Volunteers who live in our houses alongside the young people we support.  To allow these Residential Volunteers the opportunity to have a break from this role and to have time away from the houses, Baca needs a bank of relief cover volunteers who we can call on to stay in the houses for one or several nights, depending on need and your availability. This role serves a vital function in supporting our holistic care of our young people. It provides an opportunity to build healthy friendships with young people from various different cultures, languages and backgrounds. Full training and induction is given and a full DBS check will be completed.
