Residential Volunteer - Loughborough (Male)

Voluntary

Residential Volunteer (male) based in Loughborough

Benefits in kind including free rent, council tax, utilities etc.

We require a male Residential Volunteer for one of our houses in Loughborough. The role requires the individual to move in to one of our properties as their main residence and be a ‘big brother’ to the young people (16-18 years) who are supported by The Baca Project. The residential volunteer role complements the work our support workers carry out with the young people in developing their independent living skills.. The accommodation linked to the role entitles the candidate to free rent, council tax and utilities. The role is appropriate for someone undertaking study or who has another job. An enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check will be required.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:

- Be a positive role model within the house
- Link in with the support workers to aid the young persons adaptation to semi-independent living
- Provide practical assistance on matters including cooking and cleaning where required.
- Play an active role in the smooth running of the house
- Complete weekly updates regarding the house and its residents

Cover Volunteer - Residential

Voluntary

All Baca properties have residential volunteers who live in our houses alongside the young people we support.  To allow these residential volunteers the opportunity to have a break from this role and to have time away from the houses, Baca needs a bank of relief volunteers who we can call on to stay in the houses for one or several nights, depending on need and your availability.  Full training and induction is given and a full DBS check will be completed.
